BASIC SQUIRREL INFO

Squirrels often find bedding material by shredding roof or wallpaper and shredding vent ducts and insulation around pipes. The biggest problem is that they chew, and I've seen hundreds of cases where they've chewed electrical wires. It's estimated that half of the house fires are due to rodents chewing on electrical wires. I have also seen plumbing lines chewed through, resulting in water damage. If you have any wires or pipes in the attic, the squirrels will chew on them.

Additionally, wild animals that live in houses also frequently die in houses, and the odor of a dead squirrel is horrid. We have removed many dead squirrels from attics producing those horrible odors. They also urinate and defecate everywhere. It is not only unsanitary but smells bad, and squirrel droppings are a host to several diseases. Like all animals, squirrels can carry parasites, they leave behind excrement, and they can leave both in your attic. Squirrel droppings, like almost any wildlife dropping, are associated with Leptospirosis and Salmonella. If squirrels have gotten into your house, they will create a dangerous and unsanitary environment for you and your family.

BREEDING

Female squirrels give birth to two litters of young per year, one in the spring and one in the winter. The birth time can vary a bit based on several factors, but generally, the winter litter is born in early February and the spring litter in early August. There are normally two to six young in each litter. The gestation period is about 44 days. The young are weaned at seven weeks and leave the nest after ten weeks.

In most cases, people do not realize they have a skunk problem until it is too late. One of the main signs you have a skunk problem is" The Smell. " Don't worry. It can be taken care of with a special 100% ALL NATURAL ODOR TREATMENT that we apply in the crawl space, a/c unit, carpets, etc. Skunk removal, skunk trapping, and skunk prevention can be very tricky if not done correctly. ODOR ELIMINATION TREATMENT

We know that a skunk problem can be one of the worst wildlife problems a homeowner can have due to THE HORRID SMELL. That's why we have worked very hard to bring you the latest in odor control treatments. We offer a one of a kind 100% ALL NATURAL SKUNK ODOR REMOVAL TREATMENT. Here's how it works…..After a skunk sprays, the smell can be overwhelming, causing eye irritation and sometimes shortness of breath. The smell will also begin to soak into any porous material such as clothes, carpets, drapes, and even animals. The odor elimination treatment breaks apart the molecules that give off the unwanted odors. It contains no chemicals and is COMPLETELY SAFE FOR PETS AND HUMANS. The treatment will be applied to the entire inside of the home including, carpets, drapes, rugs, closets, etc., pets (if needed), and sometimes walls (depending on the type of wall covering). It is GUARANTEED NOT TO STAIN OR DISCOLOR ANY FABRICS. After the skunks are removed, the treatment will then be applied to the area where the skunk was located, usually in the crawlspace.

GENERAL SKUNK INFO

The skunk is equipped with massive claws that allow them to dig through almost everything. The most common place a skunk is found is under the house, usually gaining access under the a/c unit or through loose or damaged crawlspace vents.

If you have had problems with your a/c not blowing hard or cold enough, more than likely, the skunks have torn into your main trunk lines. They will tear the insulation away and use it for bedding for their nests.

Trained professionals should only handle skunk problems. Not only will they spray if not handled correctly but also the number one carrier of rabies. So don't delay call today for 24/7 skunk removal.

There are many different types of birds in Tennessee. Here at Tennessee Trappers, we specialize in several different types of nuisance bird problems, from removing starlings from BATHROOM and DRYER VENTS to stopping large PIGEONS groups from roosting on buildings and the occasional BIRDS IN A STORE. We offer COMMERCIAL and RESIDENTIAL WILDLIFE REMOVAL.

BIRDS IN BATHROOM OR DRYER VENTS?

If you have birds nesting in your bathroom or dryer vents, more than likely, it is starlings. Starlings are similar to blackbirds. They have black plumage with yellow specks and yellow beaks. Birds that have made their home in your vents can cause MAJOR PROBLEMS from POOR CIRCULATION, causing your clothes not to dry as normal, BIRD MITES, and sometimes even FIRES. Birds in your bathroom vents nesting can also cause poor circulation due to the number of nesting materials they stuff in these vents. As the birds are building their nests in these vents, they sometimes puncture HOLES IN THE VENT LINES, causing the bathroom's moisture to escape into the ceilings and walls, eventually causing MOLD. We specialize in removing the birds and their nests, clean up droppings, and installing new vent lines and preventing the birds' return.

ROOSTING ON ROOFS AND BUILDINGS

There are many different birds that you may find roosting on buildings and other structures. PIGEONS are one of the most common, all causing large amounts of DROPPINGS that are VERY UNSANITARY and annoying. We specialize in the REMOVAL and also the PREVENTION of these problems. We specialize in HUMANE TRAPPING to remove large groups of birds and install BIRD NETTING, BIRD SPIKES, and several different types of deterrents.

BIRDS IN A PLACE OF BUSINESS?

Most of these problems are due to birds roosting, or nesting near an entry or exit into the constantly opened and closed building. If you have a bird in a business place, we will usually remove them after hours, so it does not disturb your customers. We will then follow-up with an inspection to look for other possible entry points, install BIRD NETTING or BIRD SPIKES to roosting areas to prevent further problems.
